On March 18, 2025, the potato processing enterprise in Gansu that our factory had previously cooperated with used Jinlu Machinery’s 25 horsepower air drying room to test the large-scale drying of potato slices. With stable temperature control performance and efficient drying effect, the finished product had uniform color and met the standard for crispness, and received positive feedback from customers. In response to the difficulty of potato chips being prone to sticking and discoloration, the technical team has designed a step-by-step solution:
1.Pre drying (55 ℃/60% humidity/3 hours): Quickly evaporate surface moisture to prevent slice adhesion;
2.Constant speed drying (60 ℃/40% humidity/4 hours): evenly remove internal moisture and retain natural color;
3.Fixed drying (65 ℃/10% humidity/3 hours): Precise temperature control ensures a crispy texture and avoids coking.
After 7 hours of continuous operation, the dried potato slices have uniform thickness, no cracking or curling, a light yellow color, and a stable moisture content below 8%, which meets food processing standards. Customer statement: Time saving, labor-saving, and more hygienic. Traditional air drying is limited by weather conditions, and coal-fired drying poses hygiene hazards. Actual test data shows that the processing capacity of a single batch reaches 500 kilograms, which shortens the operation time by 30% compared to traditional methods, and increases the finished product integrity rate to over 95%, significantly reducing raw material loss. At present, the company has sent dried samples to multiple partners for testing, and feedback shows that the crispness and flavor remain good, providing quality assurance for expanding the leisure food market in the future.
