Konjac, a highly popular food known for its numerous health benefits, is now commonly processed through drying methods. Today, let’s delve into the operational steps of konjac drying.

Konjac Drying Process:

Cleaning and Peeling: Freshly dug konjac roots require thorough cleaning and peeling. During cleaning, soak the konjac to soften and dissolve stubborn dirt in the edges, eye buds, and grooves, making the skin crisp and easier to peel. When peeling, use a dedicated peeling tool or do it manually while wearing gloves to prevent skin irritation.

Slicing: Cut the peeled konjac into evenly thin slices. This step facilitates faster drying and helps preserve the nutrients and texture of the konjac.

Drying Temperature and Time: These are crucial factors affecting the drying outcome. Typically, the drying temperature should be set between 6070°C, and the drying process should last for 810 hours.

Storage: After drying, store the konjac in a dry, well-ventilated area to prevent moisture.
